Goals and Milestones

• Update of the transport model of the Prešov and Košice regions, with a focus on the border area with Ukraine.
• Creation of a transport model for the Zakarpattia region.
• Linking these two transport models based on a jointly conducted transport survey.
• Preparation of project and budget documentation at the feasibility study stage for a construction project in the context of strategic connectivity of transport mobility in the mentioned region, specifically applied through preparatory documentation for the infrastructure development project “Reconstruction of the Solomonovo – Velyka Dobron – Janoshi road.”

1. Opening conference of the project in Uzhhorod
2. Analysis of data, background materials, and strategic plans; data collection as input information for the transport model
   • Analysis of data, background materials, strategic plans, studies, and available information on planned investments in transport infrastructure in the affected areas of Slovakia (SK) and Ukraine (UA)
   • Analysis of materials on the provision of public passenger transport (SK/UA)
   • Preparation and implementation of traffic flow surveys by individual transport modes and types (using cameras)
   • Procurement and installation of traffic counters (procurement process, public procurement, purchase, installation)
   • Analysis of collected traffic count data (using specialized software)
   • Purchase of software licenses/services
   • Data collection and exchange of information on the expected increase in mobility during the “Reconstruction of Ukraine” process
3. Update of the transport model of Eastern Slovakia
   • Update of the transport model of Eastern Slovakia with the results of the “Multimodal Feasibility Study Bidovce – SK/UA state border (I/19 Bidovce – Vyšné Nemecké)”

   • Analysis of collected traffic count data (using specialized software)
   • Data collection and exchange of information on the expected increase in mobility during the “Reconstruction of Ukraine” process
2. Update of the transport model of Eastern Slovakia
   • Scenario-based assessment of the impact of increased mobility on the capacity of transport infrastructure and border crossings within the transport model of Eastern Slovakia
   • Update of the transport model of Eastern Slovakia with the results of the “Multimodal Feasibility Study Bidovce – SK/UA state border (I/19 Bidovce – Vyšné Nemecké)”
   • Update of the transport model of Eastern Slovakia with data obtained from traffic counts in Ukraine and in the border regions of Slovakia; verification of the relevance of data from the transport models of Slovakia and Ukraine
   • Design of optimal solutions for public passenger transport services SK/UA + testing in transport models
3. Presentation, data comparison, and reporting on achieved project results
   • International conference (mutual exchange of acquired knowledge for the systemic harmonization of SK and UA plans in transport infrastructure across different transport modes and coordinated planning of public passenger transport)
   • Final international conference (presentation of practical results from the harmonization of transport models of the affected SK/UA areas)
   • Extension of the website www.idsvychod.sk with a subpage dedicated to the project results and conclusions
