The discounted single fare represents up to 48% discount compared to the basic fare. Children up to the age of 15, the child’s companion up to the age of 6, students up to the age of 26, senior citizens from 63 years of age, severely disabled persons who hold a ŤZP or ŤZP- S card, their guides and parents for the purpose of accompanying or visiting a disabled child are entitled to this fare.

Conditions for applying discounts:

Child up to the age of 15

  • entitlement to this fare is proven by a child’s ID or other identification card with a current photo of the child, name, surname and date of birth, from the age of 12,
  • an authorized employee of the carrier requires a document only if he considers that the age of the child to whom this fare is applied cannot be assessed based on their physical appearance.

Guide for a child up to the age of 6

  • the right to this fare is proven by an ID to prove the child’s age or another identification card with a photo of the child, starting from the child’s 5th birthday.

Students up to the age of 26

  • a primary school student, a full-time secondary school student or a full-time university student is entitled to this fare,
  • entitlement to this fare is proven by a valid card issued by the carrier, a valid card accepted by the carrier or a valid university student card (e.g. ISIC),
  • such card must contain a current photograph, first and last name, date of birth of the student and the date of validity of the discount, which is the only decisive date when assessing entitlement to a discount (in the case of a transport card, it is sufficient if the date of birth and the date of validity of the discount are written on the card in in electronic form).

Senior from 63 years old

  • the entitlement to this fare is proven by an ID or another card issued by one of the carriers.

A severely disabled person who holds a ŤZP or ŤZP-S card

  • the right to this fare is proven by a ŤZP card, a ŤZP-S card or a card issued by another carrier that proves the right and is in the TransCard system.

  • the entitlement to this fare is proven by a ŤZP card, a ŤZP-S card or a card issued by another carrier that proves the right and is in the TransCard system.

A parent for the purpose of accompanying or visiting a disabled child who is placed in, or visits, school, social, or medical facilities in the territory of the Slovak Republic

  • the entitlement to this fare is proven by an ID together with a confirmation issued by the facility in which the child is placed or visited.

A dog, with the exception of a dog with special training for a severely disabled person.
