Top governing bodies of IDS Východ met to discuss key priorities
The premises of IDS Východ, hosted the 14th General Assembly meeting – the company’s highest governing body composed of the presidents of the Košice and Prešov self-governing regions and mayors of cities across Eastern Slovakia.
Focus on strategic direction
The discussions focused on reviewing the company’s recent activities and shaping its future direction. Participants were presented with achievements from the past period, priorities for 2026, and the Annual Report for 2025. Key topics included the development of the integrated transport system, coordination of public transport services, and advanced work with mobility data and transport modelling.
A major part of the meeting was also dedicated to the international OTRACON SK-UA project, where IDS Východ acts as the lead partner.
Strong interest in the OTRACON project
The OTRACON project attracted strong interest from both the General Assembly and the Supervisory Board, particularly due to its importance for cross-border transport development. It supports systematic transport planning, improves the use of mobility data, and strengthens cooperation between Slovakia and Ukraine.
The discussion clearly confirmed strong institutional support for its continued implementation.
A concrete step forward
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the approval by the regional presidents to send an official request to the Government of Ukraine for mobility data from the Zakarpattia region.
These data are essential for developing a reliable transport model and ensuring the successful implementation of the OTRACON project, reinforcing the active support of the company’s governing bodies.
