The special single fare amounts to EUR 0,30 for every 50 km started. For example, if a retiree, blood donor or pregnant woman goes from Bardejov to Prešov, they will pay 0,30 euros, if they travel to Košice, they will pay 0,60 euros for the trip. Without the discount, their journey would cost 3,10 euros to Prešov and 4,50 euros to Košice.
The following are entitled to single special fares:
Pregnant women
- the discount for pregnant women is EUR 0,30 for every 50 km that has already started. It is necessary that they pay for the ticket only with a transport card issued by the carrier (ARRIVA Michalovce, BUS Karpaty, eurobus, SAD Humenné, SAD Poprad, SAD Prešov) on the basis of an ID and a pregnancy book.
Holders of a gold or diamond Janský plaque or Kňazovický plaque
- Holders of (at least) gold Janský plaque can also travel with the discounted fare of EUR 0,30 for every 50 km that has already started. Carriers will give them a discount only if they pay the fare with a transport card issued by the carrier (ARRIVA Michalovce, BUS Karpaty, eurobus, SAD Humenné, SAD Poprad, SAD Prešov) based on proof of the relevant plaque.
Retiree over 70 years old
- after reaching the age of 70, senior citizens are entitled to a special fare of EUR 0,30 for every 50 km that has already started. Entitlement to this fare is proven by an ID or another card issued by one of the suburban bus transport carriers proving entitlement to this fare. The payment of the fare is not conditional on a transport card, but is recommended in order to equip the passenger more quickly. In the case of payment in cash, the ticket price is 0,50 euros for every 50 km.
